Welcome to the New Website
Do you make resolutions for the new year?
I usually don’t anymore but years ago I did the usual “going to lose 20 lbs”, “going to eat better”, “going to exercise more”, and on and on and on. And it never seemed to work out that way.
I would get two or three weeks into it and the resolve for exercise would slowly wane despite the cute little leotard and leggings I bought to feel the burn.
Plus the nibbling of lettuce, carrots and other exotic veggies soon gave way to rich chocolate eclairs and gorgeous ice cream sundaes. So I don’t make NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS anymore.
Last year I took a step in the right direction by deciding that marketing my book or my message was too much for me to accomplish by myself. After praying about it and asking God to send me a helper, I hired a girl who is now my social media manager.
It was the first best move I made other than writing the book itself. Praying about it beforehand was key. I know Julie was sent from God and she is doing a remarkable job. Go Julie!
It is funny because before I even prayed about it, I had the thought that I should invest in myself, that what could be a better investment than me. Well let me tell you that thought has been years in the making.
For someone who comes from my insecure and codependent background, this is huge progress and a testament to my healing and growth. Yay me!
The second best thing I did, again in keeping with the I am investing in me theory, was hire someone to redesign my website. So get ready now because we are rolling it out this week and I am so proud of the job my new Marketing manager Steve has done.
It is beautiful and I am very proud. He has done a remarkable job and I think you guys will find it enjoyable as well as easy to navigate. Go Steve!
Wow — What a year 2016 is starting out to be!
With all these new things we are doing, God has seen fit to open some doors. I will be doing my second ever interview, (anyone remember Max Larkin Detective Blogspot, July 2013?) and first in a magazine.
It is for “In HIS Image”. It will be in their June 2016 issue. I am super excited and we will definitely be sending out reminders, blogs and tweets as well as Facebook posts.
I just wanted to take a minute and touch base and say thank you to everyone who has followed me, read the book, sent a note or is just tuning in.
I will leave you with one thing and it is the thing that makes me want to keep going and keep reaching out.
God loves us, God knows us, heck God created us. Maya Angelou used to say, “The creator of the universe loves me”, well believe it because the creator of the universe loves YOU.
