Religion Vs Sprirituality

Aloha again from Hawaii.

I pray God’s blessing on each and every one of you. I really wanted to talk about something that a lot of people refuse to discuss and that is Religion vs Spirituality.

I have had a strong belief for some time now that religion is man made and I’ve been against it for many reasons. But let me first say there are good things that have come out of organized religion.

Fellowship with other believers can lift and strengthen you, especially in times of strife. Gathering to honor God shows respect.

If you think about spirituality or a relationship with God, shouldn’t it be something that makes you want to be a better kinder person, not someone telling you that you need to be?

Jesus said love God, love each other and help each other, so in other words keep it simple and let love rule. He didn’t say let’s guilt each other with rules and unreal expectations that will force people in to controlled behavior.

Man came up with organizing and rule making. I believe that if we really want to help the ones still lost and hurting, then we will get back to basics and the teachings of the Lord Jesus. We will stop all the judging and guilting, and we will spread love, after all, God is love.

God shows up in very different forms, He shows up to each person in a unique way that means something to them so they will recognize Him. His goal is to love, shouldn’t ours be too? I would love to hear your thoughts. I will expand on this as well very soon.
