Happy Resurrection Day!
Happy resurrection day to all of our DOTK followers. Yes we know we are one day late with our newsletter and blog however we, like I am sure most of you, spent the day celebrating the resurrection of our living Lord, Jesus Christ. We spent it with prayer, family, eating and standing in gratitude that Jesus chose each and every one of us to take on our trash, our garbage, yes all of our sins, past, present and future. He made a way where we could spend eternity with Him in paradise. Do you know what all of that equals…..LOVE.
I was thinking about what I wanted to say about sin and death and dying. First of all in the medical community we are taught that dying is just a part of living, the end part. That is not so if you are in the family of Jesus Christ. We have mortal bodies here on earth and yes they get old, weak and die off, they are perishable. But we, the essence of us, our spirit goes on and graduates back home where once we came. Scripture tells us in Jeremiah 1:5 NIV
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you
God has always had a plan for each one of us. And He loves us so much that he made a way for all of us to be with Him forever. When we do pass away from our perishable bodies we will gain a new imperishable one. We are told in 1Cor 15:42-44 NIV
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable,
it is raised imperishable, it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory,
it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
I hope that you all had a great Easter and that you were able to reflect in gratitude that you are a child of God, that being in the family of Jesus Christ you have so much hope. Now try to pass it on to all of the hopeless and REMEMBER you are chosen.
Blessings,
Fran
