Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday Jesus!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We hear that all around us lately but what does that actually mean to you? Is it because we get time off of work? Is it because we get to spend time with family we haven’t seen in a year, or longer in some cases? Is it because Christmas has been, for most of us, a magical time with memories of Santa Claus leaving presents as we slept? Or maybe it’s because you have a new child or grandchild on the way? It may be a combination of all these reasons but whatever it is, Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year.

Here at Daughter of the King we want to take a minute and remind everyone of our sweet followers that we believe this magical time all started with the birth of the Lord Jesus in a stable in Bethlehem over two thousand years ago. God came down from Heaven in the form of a baby and dwelt among us. He lived, loved and had all the emotions that we have. He had triumphs and losses, just like we do. He can relate to us in a way that no other can because, not just was He human, He is divine as well. And He loves us so much that He made a way for us to spend eternity with Him, in paradise. I don’t know about you but that is the best gift I could have ever gotten.

So we wanted to take a moment, remember and reflect on that fact and say Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday Jesus! And thank you Lord God for this gift which really does make it the most wonderful time of the year!

Many blessings to you and your family,

Fran Speake

Riveting-Shocking-Edgy-Emotional. These are just some of the words people use when describing this true life story of born-again Christian, Fran Speake. Suffering severe emotional neglect as child, at a young age she went out searching for answers and trying to find her own true identity. It seems no matter where she looked, no matter where she turned, every corner was met with another tragedy. Going from one relationship to another, she eventually tried to settle down and married the cousin of the infamous rock star, Eddie Van Halen. In her story she recalls what it was like "running with the devil" -- of having lived through her own personal struggles and a life of drug addiction. For the first time, author, Fran Speake pulls back the curtains and reveals her inner most secrets; Of how she went from a life of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, drug addiction, and low self esteem to becoming a woman of God. She believes her entire life turned around when she experienced divine intervention. She is now living a life with God, through Jesus Christ and gives thanks for her transformation each and every day.
